Week Ending March 22
Another cold week, which may be putting anglers off fishing. On a brighter note, big hatches of flies were being reported towards the end of the week with anglers having to walk through dense clouds of buzzers, etc, to get to the boats.
Island Pond
9 boats (14 rods) 3 fish for 3 lbs 11 ozs, 3 returned.
North Pond
No boats out.
Clubs Out
Arbroath AC, 5 boats (9 rods) 3 for 3 lbs 11 ozs.
Notable Returns
Davie Roy, 2 returned.

A chilly week with two days lost to strong winds.
Island Pond
15 boats (19 rods) keeping 2 fish for 4 lbs 13 ozs, with 2 returned.
North Pond
No boats out.
Notable Catches
Colin Warden, 1 fish for 2 lbs 12 ozs.

Weather hasn’t been the best, but anglers are reporting fish being caught all over the Island Pond, many around three to four feet below the surface.
Successful flies included, Diawl Bach, Wee Kate, Yellow Dancer, Sunshine Cat and Gold Ribbed Hare’s Ear, fished on floating or intermediate line.

North Pond
1 boat, 2 rods.

R. Malkowski with a superb fish weighing in at 2 lbs 12 ozs.
K. Robertson with another beauty at 2 lbs 8 ozs.
